Has anyone bought the new Bass Pro Shops Johnny Morris Carbon Lite baitcaster lately? I bought a couple of them b/c of them weighing 5.9ozs and being rather cheap. I very soon noticed that they have a "grinding" feel when reeling them in under pressure. For example, pulling a spinnerbait with a #5 willow leaf blade. I got to searching on the internet about it today. I have now found that many people are having this same issue with this reel. I've read on to find that one guy said he replaced the drive gear, pionion gear and yolk with an older BPS model reel and the problem went away. He said something about how the pionion rides in the yoke and that how the spool shaft goes through the pionion and not keeping proper alignment. Has anyone had this same issue with this same reel and know any further info about it? I'm thinking I may take mine back to BPS this weekend, eventhough I like the weight of the reel and would rather find a fix.
