It's been taking that kind of weight to win on Green for the last 4-5 years in the spring. Green just doesn't get the same attention Ky, Barkley and Barren gets. I'm not complaining about that though.

Not for me yesterday, but our tournament took 20 lbs to win---Good Job Pete! and the day before took 22 to win. Big fish was 8.08 on the non-boater side. Last weekend we won a tournament there with 21.22 and the day before that took 19. Saw two bass last weekend over 7. Simply amazing how Green is doing so good! Good to see because I used to not like that lake much.
Forgot to mention that second place boater only had 4 fish but he still had over 17 lbs.! Good job Scott!

I watched a boat hit the mud flat across from Emerald Isle yesterday. I felt bad for the guy. I was too far away to warn him and he nailed it. I was just coming up around it when he hit. Always swing wide there, even in the summer.
I fished with the family there for a few hours, caught 2 keepers, one around 2 lbs, the other was 4.26 lbs.
The problem that I see with Green is it is being tournament fished to death right now..... and I have one there Sunday. LOL
You all catching most of your fish back around the river area of the lake?
I almost ran into that same mud flat this past weekend...I've only fished that lake twice and was lucky that there were a couple boats fishing around it so I swung way around it. Had there not been any boats there I would have ran right onto it. Are there buoys or other markers around that point? If not, there needs to be!!
There area isn't marked well at all and it really could stand to be. I always swing wide towards the tower even in the summer but it would really bite for people that do not know the lake.
It definitely needs to be marked. It is shallow even at summer pool there. Coming from Emerald Isle, you can see the mud, but coming from stone quarry, it kind of disappears. I always stay wide even during the summer because it's only like 5' there then. People that don't know the lake get in trouble quick when it's on winter pool.
How hard would it be to put 4 buoys out there marking it? I'm sure there are a lot of people that wish it was marked when they beached their boat. :\
