I went last night and didnt catch anything. I was on the ky side behind the hydros. Had a live shad on one rod and some deer liver on another for my catfish poles. Then i was tossing a small white grub and a small white rooster tail around also. I did catch a small channel cat and a dmall walleye in my throw net though. That walleye was mean looking. I had a 4 oz sinker on and the current would still pull it down river. How muchweight do u need to keep bait down?
The right type of sinker is important too, when it comes to holding in place. I like the round flat ones, or pyramid sinkers.

Yeah we got 9 sauger today ! and on Sunday the 15th we both got our limit water temp was 61 ...but tippping with minnows was the ticket
Hi Folks,
Yes, they are biting. I haven't seen the water this low(and fishable) in a long time(12 feet @ lower gage).I was throwing a white mister twister & got skunked; but the guy next to me was fishing the bottom with nightcrawlers and I watched him catch about a dozen in 2 hours. He caught cats, drum, skipjack,
& 3 or 4 decent stripers(hybrids?).The stripers were maybe 4-5 lbs.Today,I shall return, this time with 2 boxes of nightcrawlers.I fish at the Big Eddy, around the bend & downstream a little from below the museum. If you see a skinny guy with a big fat belly; that's me, stop over & say hi.
Kurt
Went again today, and caught 10 drum, largest of which was about 15lbs. Caught 1 small flathead and 1 14 inch whitebass. All on nightcrawlers on the bottom. Had a flippin blast. Wish i could have found more whites or sauger or something.
Years ago I would fish below the falls on the Indiana side . There was a boat ramp . Can you still fish with a Ky license ?
Thanks , I am going to go one day next week ,Tom
key is on indiana side throw use heavy jig head med size white or pumpkin or chartruess twisters with slow-med retrievial cast into the white caps up close to the **** but you have to get wet if you want best success cross over the stream on the left and get close to the rapids this is where the hydrids and stripper and white bass stay feeding in morning and evening its a really tricky place to fish sometimes you have to have the right colors and know exactly where to cast but when the water is low its a go i know my arm will be sore at the end of my 3rd hour from catchin so many. but i have been many times its all trial and error so have fun
