Kudos to coach strong and the staff. This semester 37 football players with a 3.0 or better GPA, 73 with a 2.5 or better and 19 players on the deans list. Cumulative GPA of 2.78 for the whole team. That is getting it done in the classroom.

I really like Charlie Strong. I always enjoy seeing players being interviewed on the local news - the players really seem to carry themselves well and it is very apparent that Charlie Strong has had a positive influence on them. This news about good GPAs really comes as no surprise.

Strong can be a bit persnickity at times with the media and people around him. However he is consistant in his desire for excellence and doing things the right way. He is in charge of that football team make no mistake. The players run all over Kragthorpe and they don't even try against Strong. He'll throw them off the team in a heartbeat, not to mention being able to kick most of their asses......Litterally. That man is a beast and he gets alot of Yes sirs and No sirs from those kids. They love him at the same time and that is a balancing act many coaches can't seem to conquer..

Myself and a couple of buddies are going to head out to the baseball game at 6 p.m. Free admission and if you like a cold one, it is dollar beer night. #22 Louisville vs. #20 St. Johns. A three game series this weekend to decide the Big East regular season championship. Take me out to the ball game!
