Rough report

Fished rough river yesterday afternoon and this morning. Mainly fished for crappie but did bass fish for about 10 mins and caught one little spot on a jig. Let's just say crappie fishing will be amazing in a few years. I probably caught 200 crappie and cleaned 16. All of them were in the 4-8 inch range. But this morning the bass were right on the grass line blowing up on shad and bluegill and they were giants.

Do u mind if I ask what area u saw the bass? I'm not familiar with many grass areas up there

I was in calamese creek then but the whole lake has grass in it this year because of the warm weather and low water levels.

If they were all 4-8 inches you cleaned 16 illegal crappie since the minimum size you can keep is 9inches

I was referring to all but 16. I would have had around 20 keepers but I threw the small 9 inch ones back besides the couple that swallowed the hook. I know the fishing regulations.
