Lake Catfishing

I always enjoy when my family gets together. My brothers family lives in WV so we dont get to spend much time together. Unfortunately he will be in town for my uncles funeral, retired 18 year 82nd Airborne Sergeant E8. We are planning on taking dad out catfishing to clear his head. Was thinking Taylorsville for some Cats. Any suggestion for a good location there, or any other close lake? Willisburg, Herrington? Thanks for the help!

A Ky fish and wildlife biologist told me today to fish big beach creek ( that is where the state park ramp is), and ash creek, it is past the dam. He said to drift cut or live shad in 8-12 foot of water along flats the fall of into the river channel.
