Why are teachers,firefighters,and police so special?

They are all needed and valued in our society. However, I don't believe they deserve any more "special" consideration than any other profession.

Every time Obama opens his mouth and refers to saving jobs it's always about teachers,firefighters,and police. What about Fred at the local grocery store? Or Gus at the tire station? Aren't their jobs just as important to us?

Yeah,Fred and Gus are probably not union members but I'm getting sick of the need to retain every last single teacher even if they can't teach and have only minimal skills.

Do I want to perform their duties? Heck no.

If I were a teacher I wouldn't last one day. After little Johnny cussed me and I kicked his ass across the classroom,I'd be fired.

Policeman? I'd be fired for profiling and shooting the dirt bags in the back as they fled from the scene.

Firefighter? Too hot and I hate to climb ladders.

Because we are a necessary evil and it carries a lot of weight with the voting public.

I have NO problem paying teachers, firefighters, police..........NONE whatsoever.

But, I do have a problem creating new jobs for teachers, firefighters and police when we are in the most SEVERE economic situation since the great depression. I don't believe CREATING jobs from nothing and spending additional TAX revenue is the answer.

Now, say we have an economic boom when we throw Obama and his minions out.......When the TAX coffers start to grow from the ECONOMIC policies of the new administration, that is the time to use some of those TAX coffers to pay for new police, new firefighters, and additional teachers. It is pure economics.

If you were 100k in debt and had NO way of paying that back you wouldn't go spend an additional 100k in an attempt to fix your house up, hoping to sell it for 200k would you? That is not the best analogy if the situation, but you CANNOT spend your way to prosperity.......PERIOD. It has never worked.
