100,000 insurance agents will probably lose their job due to ObamaCare.......

    Yep......

I guess they can collect unemployment for 36 months tho, so that should help.

    Later,

Sounds like the old joke "What do you have when you find 25 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean".

Relax, they will all get jobs as "Claims Adjusters". :-)

Given my experience with the fed:
    - 25,000 will be hired to actually monitor the claims and payouts.
    - 50,000 will be hired to supervise them.
    - 25,000 more will be hired to quality control the 25,000 workers, and report their findings to the 50,000 supervisors.
    - 25,000 will be hired to "interpret the findings" of the QA people hired, and analyse the appropriateness of their recommendations they made to management. These folks findings will be reported to the last group.
    - 25,000 Senior Managers who will then tell the 50,000 first line supervisors what they should tell their 25,000 workers to do with little regard for the findings of the 25,000 QA folks.

In the second year of the program they will increase the staffing by 100% due to "unexpected workload", to now be 300,000. This will be represented as helping employement and giving the American Tax payer "the service quality he deserves in health care".

The third year to make a political statement and to show they are willing to take cuts, they will declare they will "take a hit and cut their staffing by 25%" due to efficiencies identified thru superior management. This of course will still leave them 75,000 more employees than they had to start with. But, it will look like a cost savings on paper and all will applaud it as "voluntary belt-tightening".

The 4th year the government will out source it to a contractor, and force the contractor to do thye same work with the original 150,000 people "to save precious federal dollars", and the cycle above will start all over, this time lead by the low bidder that won the contract.

By year 8, the government will spend $25 million to conduct a feasibility study and determine it's more cost effective to bring the medical management mission back "in-house" to be once again done by the government. The first year its back in house, they will hire back the 225,000 people they left go when they said the contractor had to do it with 150,000 people, and justify that manning level with "we need to clean up the mess and give the taxpayers the quality service they deserve". Like Obama......"The buck stops here, we must fix this on our shift".
