Adult. There are permits and other forms that have to be filed and a minor can't sign them. Contact the Kentucky Rodeo Association (or whatever it is called in your state) for information.

Katie,
check out the Kentucky High School rodeo group. They should be able to help you out.

Most of the Bull Riders look to be at least 18 or older at the rodeos I've been to,we just had one here in Pendleton county a couple weeks ago,I've seen alot younger kids in roping and barrel racing events though.
Here's the link to the company that put the rodeo on here =

Katie,I thought I might add that they put on this rodeo in Pendleton county nearly every year,I've been to every one and at every one of them,at least one Bull Rider has been hauled off in an ambulance with serious injuries. I was pretty tough when I was younger messed around with mean bulls in pasture fields, rode racehorses as fast as they could run, broke horses for neighbors and even broke my four horses 6 years ago.
That bullriding is a tough sport and very dangerous,I'd think twice before I'd want to do that, you can get hurt bronco riding, but it's usually not from the horse trying to gore you or purposely stomp on you.The roping events with bulldogging steers is a tamer sport, along with calf roping not that they are easy,it all takes practice, but years of that stuff will make you a broke down old person like me.

If you are a bull rider it is not if you get hurt it is when and how bad. When a Bull throws a rider he then try's to hurt him. If you are interested in Rodeo a great place to start for a female is Barrel racing this is a very exciting event and is only open to females. It is a good way to get started. We have had a Pro Rodeo in my home town for 45 years and we used to have a local girl race barrels and I loved watching her she was very talented and had a good barrel horse.
