That was very good! He nailed it with the comments of them being out of touch with americans. Sad part is i firmly believe it will still get 10 times worse before it ever gets any better! Regulations, control and rules are what these folks do and until something catastrophic happens nothing will change their me mentality.
Even on the most basic level of building codes I deal with in my profession the state officials twist and manipulate codes as they see fit. The reasoning??? Authority having jurisdiction is the catchall phrase that makes them right. I have had discussions with these folks while tying to get a ruling on what I see as the wrong application of codes and you would be amazed at what some of their answers are. Just blows me away......I have seen things like he mentioned happen when it comes to inspections.

I can't imagine what it takes on the level of our legislative branch to get things right. Ohhh wait yes I know....they have to appoint a task force to investigate the problems that were caused by their committee that studied the process of how the new bill was going to be applied when and if it became law. Then since it requires to much work and actual decision making they kick the can down the road so the next party can decide if it's politically savy to open that can of worms up or not but by then a new Czar has been appointed to handle the problem and he answers only to the potus. The two of them decide while playing golf that it's to risky to make a move right now on the decision, plus it's an election year so we will put it on the back burner until its politically a better time. If all that fails just blame someone else....that will buy them some time and at this point no one knows who is responsible for what and its not worth digging into anymore!
