    Chic-Fil-A

Looks like the people are speaking! The ones here in Lexington have been packed. Local news folks are there. Makes me smile to know people are sick of the crap the some of the nut jobs try and do to others. This gay rights thing doesn't bother me to much until they attack stuff I believe in. Of course the Libs are in this as well.

The Mrs. and I tried to buy lunch today at the New Albany,IN location. The drive thru lane was wrapped around the entire parking lot and out onto State Street. I estimated 50 people were lined up outside.

We deferred our protest meal and will dine there on another day. I've never tried a Chick-Fil-A sandwich but I'm all for the anti-protest and will dine there soon.

    Come on November!!!!

The people who have their panties in a wad are speaking about something that has positively no effect on their own lives what so ever. What this corporate head said is nothing to me...I really dont give a **** what he thinks...either way. It affects my life in no way and it surely would not cause me to go buy a chicken sandwich. However I do commend him for the perfecting marketing effort. He pitted the homosexual crowd against the Bible thumpers and guess what? He is the only person, other than the shareholders, who will see any benefit from this action.
I guess it does give the closet bigot crowd reason to stand up, albeit on the internet, and cheer, and many of them the chance to do a drive by and grab a quick meal. I wonder how many of these same people have gay friends, gay family mambers, or even gay members of their churchs.
I guess the term 'live and let live' doesn't apply to us God fearing, morale majority, sympathetic, and ever so loving Christians. We want to be seen as the most loving bunch of folks on earth yet it is times like this when we see the real light. Pretty sad. But hey, enjoy the meal. I am sure the CEO's yearly bonus just doubled to about $50 million dollars.

The big question for me is, what are we "appreciating" today by eating at Chick-Fil-A?

Are we appreciating that the owner of the business has a right to be against gay marriage if he so chooses, and that unless he is specifically discriminating against folks, that gay people and those who support gay rights have no real basis for boycotting his business and should extinguish their burning torches and shut up?

Or, has this degenerated into "Eat at Chick-Fil-A if you think it's wrong to be gay" Day?

Big difference between the two, really.

I'd be interested to hear the responses from news crews that showed up and asked people WHY they came out to get their chicken on...

    That's what I'm supporting.

Sad day in this country when the only people allowed to have Freedom of Speech and the right to practice Religious Beliefs are Minorities and Sexual deviants.
The restaurant chain did nothing to these fruitcakes, the same gay and Lesbians that preach Love and Tolerance are practicing Hate and Intolerance in a witchhunt.
I rarely eat at a Chic-Fil-A because there are none close to my home, but I intend to make it a point to eat there at every chance.

Agreed! This is a free speech issue and the Gubment getting involved is wrong. Once they became involved this became a major political issue. The liberals have sided with this group and couldn't resist taking sides. Stories of Business permits being denied (by liberal mayors) for the views (not actions) of the owner is wrong and anyone who doesn't see it as wrong has lost their mind.
This is just another attack on anyone who says anything remotely Christian based. Anyone can get up and cry for Allah but if you even imply you have a Christian belief you get attacked. Sad sad sad...

Heck yea Tyme..tell it brother! I'm with you on this. It disgusts me to no end that the left loving gay rights people have to make a mountain out of a mole hill everytime anyone on the right gives their "opinion"...so freakin' what, the owner believes what he believes and isn't afraid to let it be known. So what the guy is against gay marriage? He didn't say gays couldn't work for him, he didn't say he wouldn't take a gay persons hard earned dollar in exchange for a chicken sandwhich.

There's a restaurant in Louisville that is supposedly owned and operated by some lesbians, actually the one's I've seen working there look pretty good, not sure if they're lesbian or not, it makes no difference to me. Could care less one way or another if the owner is gay, what do I care? I don't, they have good food...so I eat there every once in a while...no qualms coming from me on this....but good lord, let the gays get wind of someone giving their OPINION on something that is not to their liking, boy look out!! Bunch of whinny ass sissies!!!

    Eh, no apologies necessary Tyme...

Just disregard those letters from my attorney. They were already in the mail when I saw this and you can't call em back. LOL
