HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania (Reuters) - A judge on Tuesday blocked Pennsylvania from requiring voters to show identification in November's U.S. election, a decision that could influence turnout in a top electoral prize in the presidential race.

Commonwealth Court Judge Robert Simpson issued a partial preliminary injunction that halts the requirement that people show either a state driver's license, government employee ID or a state non-driver ID card in order to vote on November 6.

The Legislature passes a law, and a JUDGE overturns it. HM. On appeals he will be overturned.

    I'm SICK of judicial activism.

I just cannot undestand the huge uproar requiring a voter to have an ID. Do you mean to tell me that none, and I mean none of these folks never purchase alcohol or cash a check? The "let's allow everyone and anyone to vote" crowd always screams about the poor and downtrodden not being able to vote. HOGWASH!!!!

If going to the proper authority to receive an ID is too much of a hardship for you, then you don't deserve the right to vote. This just chaps my buttocks.

Dems don't want voter ID because the CHEAT and LIE about the fraud that exists in Democrat precincts.

Yea, it may put some folks out, but I tell you what. Along with the passage of these laws, how about we FUND the process to pay for them. It is total ******** that some poor ole lady in the inner city cannot get an id.

    B--- S---!!!

When was the last time someone asked you for ID when you used your credit card?If you guys care to check the facts on illegal voting, and prosecutions, you'll find its something less than .005%.. When my drivers license expires some day, and I need someone to take me to an approved center for identification, who gained? and what? And what about absentee ballots, does that mean you have to send a picture to vote? You guys holler about less GUBMENT, yet you rally for something that limits personal integrety. And imposes more restictions on a right that thousands have given time and lives for. Maybe this election if asked I'll show my DD214 to them. For years women couldn't vote, only property owners were given that privledge, now you want to take away a right, that was added to the constitution? Hey heres a popular idea, only part members vote. Wait that didn't work in the USSR, or china.

It's called Obama wins again. This administration makes the rules and tells people what is going to happen. Make no mistake Obama will get his way, by hook or by crook, more than likely the latter.

I don't remember the exact time and place...but it was within the last seven days that I was asked to show my drivers license while using my credit card...oops, oh yea...I remember now...I was asked to show my ID at Lowe's this past weekend on Sunday when I made a purchase there.

Hell no there ain't many illegal voters caught...not if they ain't gotta show an ID.

What's that? You don't have an ID? That's ok, if you say you're a registered legal united states citizen then we believe you. Duh!! Here's your sign!

EVERY single time I use it at BPS, they ask. That is a training/education issue.

KY, I don't CARE about Illegals voting.......I CARE about Democrats bussing people to the WRONG precinct and voting as DEAD people. Why do you think they don't want it. I GUARANTEE why they don't want it. It has nothing to do about affordability, cost, or your "rights". It has everything to do with their ability to CHEAT and LIE. This is a huge issue for DEMS because the CHEAT and LIE.
