Fished 3 miles past wax in river from 11am to 2pm---one 12 inch bass on topwater popper. Headed to dog creek from 2:30 to 5pm--2 bass on worm both 12 inches--went to red rock area from 5:30pm to 6:00 pm----no bass caught----i dont know if its just me or im not hitting the lake at the wrong time but nolin has not produced much for me this year--the last 2 years i have had some big catches including a 5-3/4 pd lm and have caught some 2-3 pd white bass in jumps. Biggest bass i seen from there this year was 3-1/2 lm. Have had no luck finding l/m or whites in the jumps this year. I have fished at daylight and dusk when most jumps happen with no luck. According to a report i seen last spring nolin was rated excellent for white bass for this year but i have yet to catch one ! How has everyone else been doing at nolin this year ?

was there friday , caught lots of largemouth and ky bass on squarebill crankbaits and jointed shad raps , just a few whites , best 5 around 10 lbs , the biggest came off a buzzbait late in the day. hope this helps and thanks for all the help for me and my pops on the reports , we had a great time just reeling in lots of fish.
Tough day caught a few very small LM. I was not fishing the tournament. I spoke briefly with a couple of guys in the tournament they were not very pleased with their day either.
Better luck next time!

I was down there wed - sat and I didn't do much good either ,ususlaly when they are pullinig the lake I do great on those 3 main lake points near the mouth of dog creek , the ones that are just down the lake on the same side as the entrance to Dog Creek , but on Friday I didn't catch the first Bass off them .Usually a rebel crawdad crankbait really produces on these points but not this time
I talked to a guy who got one near 5lbs and he stated they are still in deep water .
I fished 10/13 also and caught around 20 slots with no keepers. Most of the smaller fish were holding to lay downs in the back of creeks but I did catch several in around 20 ft of water on the main. In twenty five years, I can't remember ever catching a LM over 4 lbs. at Nolin. I only fish there less than 10 times a year though.
