KY River Lock 7

How easy is this to get to? I am looking to go fishing there this weekend I'm looking for white bass action. Anyone fish here often?

If your coming through Versailles go out 33 turn right on Cummings ferry and drive until the road ends in the river. If your coming through Salvisa go out 127 turn left on Cummings ferry and drive until the road ends at the river. From either side of the river go up stream 12 miles and your at the lock.

Thanks for the directions. I found it no problem. I fished for two hours up there with no luck. I am waiting for the sauger to start bunching up. It was my first time in the area so I could not tell if the river was up but it was moving decently. Any reports of people catching sauger?

I had a guy tell me a couple of days ago that they are starting to catch sauger. I have no clue how to catch them so I am not much help with that. I have caught some nice sauger at the dam with live shad while fishing for hybrids.

Thank you for the report and the video! That video is what inspired me to try and find lock 7. I have fished for sauger my whole life but moved down here a few years ago and I've had trouble finding them near me.

I really think that they are the best winter fish when you get into them.

I will be back soon, hopefully this weekend to try and get some more.
