    Seriously Cool KDFWR mapping resource.

Found this today. Click on the Hunting and Fishing maps. I closed the hunting tab, then zooomed in on lake cumberland, and did the aerial view. Select the measure function, and you can select a start point, then an end point, and draw a line between the 2 points to get an actual distance. Seems like a great way to explore a new lake you may want to try.

Sharing a cool resource.......KDFWR you are it buds!

Using the measure function in google earth does the same thing anywhere in the world you want to go. Very helpful when planning a trip or finding launch ramps. You can also save a push pin (mark a spot) anywhere you want and then get directions to/from there.

Bing has a similar product with no download required.

    Pretty amazing really.

The computerized fishing rod is next. Just point and the rod will make a cast when a fish is detected. The fish finder will also tell you what the fish has eaten in the last hour and what his favorite foods are. If you hit the enter button twice it will also display the fish mounted on drift wood. hit the enter button 3 times and it will give you recipes for the fish. Of course you will have to have a phd in computer engineering to operate it. But you can get that online in a short 60 months and Obama will pay for it and show up at your graduation. It also comes with six months of the services of a computer engineer from india to get you started. You have to pay extra for a translator.
