    nolin for crappie

    the wife and i was thinking about going to nolin after xmas for 2 or 3 days crappie fishing,i never fished nolin for crappie just woundering if they are shallow and biteing,250 miles is a long drive if they arent biteing any info would be great.you gentleman have helped me out in the past and i thank you.mike

    Crappie can be caught at Barren on the bluffs with jigs or minnows. Don't know about Nolin. I would think most fish would be 10-18ft deep.

    They are catching crappie down their at Nolin ..I have a camp down there at Wax and I talked to my neighbor and he advised they were catching some nice slab crappie and they are shallow .He said they were getting them jig-bobbing , with nibblets on their tube jigs

    I have been down there for bass the past couple weekends and have seen several guys catching them in the 10-20 range water color has been muddy except for up by the dam hope this helps
