I was reading about crappie fishing Davis lake last week, and the article said the crappy were very small because they had nothing to eat. but on the other hand the bass were feeding on the crappie, and were thriving. then I ran across this article today. man what a catch.Near Record Bass Caught in Mississippi - Wired2Fish

i was fishing that lake the day after he caught that fish everyone there was talkin about it. i have family that live about 20 mins from the lake. i have fished it a couple of times. bass fishing is tough but if u hook up it will be over 6lbs. locals say the average bass that comes out of there id 8 to 12 lbs. and a lot of the crappie fishermen talk about landing a lot good bass while trolling. all i had was one small walleye while fishing this time
