Question Why did Peyton take a knee??

OK, you have the ball. 32 seconds (thereabouts) on the clock. Tie score in a playoff game; you lose, your season's over. You're kind of deep in your own end, with no timeouts, BUT you have the best quarterback in the league (supposedly, he's the highest-paid, anyway). So, you take a knee on first down? Don't let him take a shot downfield? I just don't get that. One of the commentators, I think it was Dan Dierdorf, said something, too, like, "Am I the only one scratching my head here?"

I'm not saying anything would have been different.

Totally agree. We all said What??? At the same time when that happened. The coach (I assume) blew it. We all know the what ifs by letting him play but there are what ifs by doing what they did. Terrible call.

What also baffled me was the run play on 3rd and 8 to go and Denver called a run up the middle. ???????

I don't think it mattered. Denver sucked big time yesterday, just like Green Bay. Difference being Denver was supposed to have a defense, the 2nd best in league matter of fact.

Losing Moreno hurt as well, the numbers clearly show it. Manning may have got hurt/tired as well. Champ Bailey was terrible, Flacco missed three times and broncos still didn't adjust.

49ers were monsters and even though falcons have had their #, i would hate to play them!
