I hate to see my team ranked one. It is nothing but a curse and actually at this juncture in time means nothing, absolutely nothing, Why does the media and ALOT of fans get so Giddy over their team being ranked one???
Louisville WILL drop some games this year on the road in the BE they should win, IT WILL HAPPEN. Then after being ranked number one you will get the sky is falling scenario from the media and the fans...
Sometimes I just hate rankings all together....Sigh
I'd take it in a heartbeat over not being ranked.I hate to see my team ranked one. It is nothing but a curse and actually at this juncture in time means nothing, absolutely nothing, Why does the media and ALOT of fans get so Giddy over their team being ranked one???

Having Louisville, Indiana, and Duke as 1-2-3 is pretty much my worst nightmare as a Cats fan. I might be able to handle it better if Kentucky weren't ranked #437...

UL is playing like the #1 team in the country right now, no doubt about it....While it gives the fans something to cheer about and to rub in their rivals face, it also puts a huge bullseye on your back and makes sure you'll get the best from whatever team you're playing....However, I'd take a 1 seed in the big dance over a #1 ranking in the regular season any day of the week, and I think UL will get one.....With college basketball being down as a whole, it seems like there are a lot more teams that could make a run at the national championship than in years past
Louisville has the most complete basketball team in the country right now...I agree with the ranking.
Indiana and Duke are not very far behind them at all. I pretty much agree with 1-2-3 as it sits.
We'll see if the Ville can keep from blowing it at UCONN...but even if they do, it wouldn't be the end of the world, because it's January.
It matters in March. Pollsters aren't always Nostradamus at predicting the end of the dance. They had Kentucky #3 at the beginning of the season for cripes sakes.
