    Assault Rifles

I was at a friend of mines house and we were discussing gun control and all the chaos going on since we have been coming across alot of ammo shortages here in the local community stores. It came to our attention that an AR15 he purchased several months ago for 1200.00 is now selling for 2500.00 and his .40 cal pistol went from 600.00 to 1200.00

I am telling him to sell the AR and wait until prices go back down then buy another one, capitalize on the market. He seems to think I am nuts and that they are about to be illegal to purchase any longer.

What is your guys take and check the current value of your AR, I am more than sure they doubled in price.

My AR does cost more now than when I purchased it. I would not sell mine because noone knows what will happen with all this gun control nonsense. The prices for AR's and handguns have not doubled from what I have seen but if someone is limited on where they can buy from they may be getting shafted.
Just last week, maybe 2 weeks ago, they had Bushmasters at a local store for less than $700 but they went FAST!!!

Yikes!! Yep it can get crazy on there! Recently Buds had an auction going for an AR that was over $2k for $650 unit. Crazy crazy things going on right now.

If you pay $2500 for a $650 AR, Federal Law ought to require that whomever delivers it to you promptly grab it by the barrell and beat you over the head with the butt stock.

Actually, your background check ought to get declined instantly because of obvious mental illness.

    ^^^^ Amen.

I couldn't believe the prices. I am considering buying a friends SKS that has some pretty nice mods for 300.00. With all this going on and the prices, I'm starting to feel like its a steal.

Don't forget to get enough ammo to enable you to shoot it once in a while. It might be months before you get some unless your lucky.

I believe it was bad advice to tell your friend that he should sell his AR-15 and .40 Cal. With all the arguments about the AR-15 and other semi-automatics, if your friend sells he could find himself without a gun. There is no guarantee that Obama won't do something to stop the manufacture and sale of those guns.

I have a fantastic gun collection that I inherited when my eldest brother died 5 years ago. My husband has a very old shotgun he inherited when his 95 year-old dad died 12 years ago. Those guns increase in value but I won't sell any of them. I have a ton of ammunition for most of them but will not fire the older ones because there might be some metal instability.

    Always!!!

There will always be firearms for sale in america. Maybe not the ones you want, but sporting rifles, shot guns are not going to go away.I was a serious bird hunter, I knew life wasn't woth living till I got mag 20 gauge pump. Then I quit hunting, I'm not against it. I just didn't to kill anything any more. I sold my mag duck gun, the 20 gauge, the decoys, and got a pretty good boat.Needs and wants change with the years, my advice, if you can afford it, go for it, someday You'll be asking yourself WHY

I agree with wants and needs changing. I watched my dad go through it with fishing and I have as well. I used to fish all day every chance I get. Nothing got in my way!! Now....ill hit it when it's good (spring) all day but even that has limitations. Maybe a cookout, family event, dating, guns, motorcycles, Atv's or I just wanna sleep gets in the way.
As far as guns....yep I have a few I ask myself why on. I will put a few up for sale soon because my taste has changed and my opinions on what I really enjoy has changed. Same with cars....I love to go fast but I have also learned about comfort and convenience which is as important to me now. Soooo now I love minivans! Lol is my man card still good??? I mean its not like its pink or anything.

Is it a cooper? Last few times I've had a long trip to or through a metro area, I've rented vehicles. Whether its to north mexico indiana, or Memphrica. I got one of those HH cars, another time a kia small van, which I really liked. And a super cab silverado 4x4 [they gave the car I reserved to someone else].But I want to drive a Cooper.

    What a gun

The last time I was at the gulf[mexico], I was talking to some goose hunters there. When I told them about the 10 gauge nuts up north, he showed me his shot gun. A 12 gauge magnum Italian gun, said that he paid almost 2000 bucks for it.He put two shells into it and asked if I wanted to try it. Had the recoil of a 22 rifle.
