The Worst of the Worst for Elnut

It looks like the jig is up for Elnutsmalljaws. Antibiotics are not doing the trick at killing the Staph Infection which is eating my insides up like Jase Robertson throws down a bucket of Frog Legs. So my good old buddy, The Doc, is going to have to open me up Mono E Mono. A nice small incision of around 30" long stretching from this hip to that hip, with the upper half tucked up under my chin while Doc slices and dices the infected tissue all across my abdomen. He is guessing 10-12 hours on the table with approximately 50 staples closing up part of the incision and the rest left open with a wound vac to help close the rest. Looks like the bandaid surgery will take place Friday or Saturday. I didn't want to hold my 2 yr old Grandbaby anyways or spend Valentines Day with my wife. Getting sick and tired of this crap and will be glad when it's all over

Man, I could cry for you just thinking about your struggle with this for so long...

I was just sitting on the couch last night telling my wife what all you had gone through. She's a nurse and sees a lot of crap everyday, but you've had one hell of a load to carry on those shoulders. It makes a lot of the things the rest of us bitch about seem pretty small and insignificant.

I know they say everything happens for a reason...it just seems awfully hard to find a logical one with stuff like this.

I appreciate it but I am ready to check myself out and spend the rest if my days at home with my Honey, kids and Grandbaby. Go home and let the infection run its course no matter the outcome

Yeah at some point you have to grab what you love the most and ride it out. Best of luck to ya man...no person should have to go through this. I do believe in God and while I don't understand any of this I would still be seeking his comfort.

Man I can't imagine going thru everything you've gone thru over the years and I'm sure it has you beyond worn out but the fact you're still here makes me think there's a reason for it even if you don't see it.
