    Belle of Louisville

We are watching the Ghost Hunters show and they are on this boat. Anyone ever taken a sightseeing/dinner cruise?? How was it?

I've been on the dinner/bluegrass music trips. It's OK but that dang boat ain't got no trolling motor.

Hahaha can't imagine the batteries it would take!! Was the food decent? I'm guessing it would be like a Texas Roadhouse or Logan's quality??

Food was OK. Nothing special. Rotary Club type dinner fare. Ham or chicken, and the usual sides of green beans, mashed tators, etc.

I wouldn't do it for the food so much as the ambience of the river, and the paddle wheel and the calliope. Pick a night cruise in May.. Jul, Aug just gets too hot. Food was fair, not a steak house quality but more the quality you'd find in a buffet house. Been 4 years since we last tied it, so factor that in, things change.

Almost forgot to mention a good alternative. We hit Buckheads in Indiana for dinner and get a great steak, or we hit Hard Rock for a steak, then go down to the river and catch the night cruise. Saves some money in the long run, and the river from the boat at night is a great sight seeing tour. Ya get a good meal, and then a relaxing cruise. Anotehr option, but pricey, is make a reservastion for early dinner at the Galt house Riverview Diner, then hit the boat.

Thanks man. I like the idea of a good steak first. I have seen a part of Louisville at night while fishing with John Smith but we were catching catfish so a relaxing time with my girls would be nice.

I'm pretty sure the boat now has AC so any summer month is not a problem.
