    Yeah buddy!

As soon as the head waters reach about 50 degrees the whites will begin there trek upstream to spawn. Look for schools of jumping shad because the whites are probably pinning them up for a meal. Won't take long for a bite.

    Let's get started!

Thanks for the info. This year spring is kind of cold. However, should warm up soon. Some of my fishing friends went to Salt river last Saturday (March 30th) and each caught a couple of white bass near the bridge. We should see some white bass action this coming weekend at Dix river too. Hope to see you guys there!

Ran out on Monday around dusk and fished the headwaters. Water level was high, but clear. I only took ~50 casts and caught 9 whites. They were all 10" to 12" males. I assume the females will be close by.

Took a ride over there around 7. There were a ton of cars on Rankin rd so I just turned around and went to Bryants Camp. No fish but a decent night!

Went out both Saturday (4/8) and Sunday. Saturday I caught 13 white bass plus two 12in large mouth and Sunday I got limit white bass (15) bank fishing at dix river. Fishing there is still at a hit and miss stage. You can have a couple of hours without any hit and all of sudden you will have some great time around you. Just imagine like a burst of fish swimming out of lake and happened to pass by. Enjoyed a lot on both days. However, from time to time, I can see some empty soda cans and water bottle people left there on the bank. It should be a lot easier to take your empty container back than bring there. Come on, be a good fisherman and tell your fishing buddy to be good too!!!!
Good luck for everybody fishing there.

Went back out to the Dix river because my freezer was empty and I needed to eat! I heard a few people were having some luck. I went down with my buddy around 6. We ended up catching 6 total, I had quite a few swing and miss. I also lost 4 that were hooked one real nice one I think was a wiper. My buddy did not even get a bite which was terrible. We fished until dusk. Beauty day and we got to have a fish fry so everyone is happy!

We were just using a white rooster tail. Which I ended up breaking a hook off.
