Today we finally moved our son's side-by-side refrigerator out of his previous residence. A simple task that quickly escalated.
Door to the house had to be removed. That was no big deal, I just pulled the three hinge pins.
After measuring the fridge again it became apparent that its doors also had to be removed. This was a little more involved because of the water supply tube that snakes up inside the front freezer door. With just some basic tools this task was also accomplished.
When I placed the hand truck under the fridge that was when I discovered that one of the tires was flat. Ever try to move a fridge on a dolly with one flat tire?
We finally get the fridge out the door and onto my truck bed. One of my son's kind neighbors came over and assisted us in that maneuver.
I then got out my ratchet straps and lashed the fridge in place.
We had an uneventful drive back to our place and and easily moved the fridge into my garage. Replacing the fridge doors however was a challenge. Things that are easy to take apart are sometimes not quite as easy to reassemble when one is not paying attention to details. "Now which way were those bushings facing?"
It's now completely back together and I believe I'll reward myself with a Woodford Reserve and two ibuprofen.
