Thoughts on the humminbird fishin buddy 110

I'm tryin to step up my game and get a portable fish finder for the jon boat and came across the humminbird 110 fishin buddy.

Has anyone here had any first hand experience with it?

Would you recommend it to a novice boatsman, who is just now learning the ropes?

Or would you recommend something else.

As always your opinions are greatly appreciated.

I had one I used on the rental boats at the parks. It's great for a portable fishfinder. works well with just a trolling motor but I wouldn't use a gas motor with it in the water. You have to take it out for that. Other than that it's great for small water. Just don't let your kids use it for a ball bat like mine did. LOL
