Falls of Ohio Upper access

Is there any trick to getting down to upper dam without parking at the museum? The Staircase washed away, and I was wondering if there was a decent spot to walk down.

You can park under the railroad bridge and walk down to the retainer wall. There is ussally a path cut to the river there. They have 29 ft running at the upper so you might have to walk a ways to find good water.Good luck Chuck
