A couple of "Rat Carp" on BRL this afternoon!

The wifey and her sister went to a play this afternoon, so I hit the water to see what the afternoon bite was like. Of course the wind cranked up and started puffing like crazy, but it was a sunny day and good day to be on the water.

I managed a couple of little guys and they were worth it! These guys were aggressive with their eats and fought like rat Reds too! Fun afternoon!

I gotta get out there and try that. I plan on getting a fly outfit in the next coupla years with a heavy backbone (9-10) and fishing for the big stuff. I just have to get up the guts to go spend that much money.
I been thinking about TFO rods. I know a guy that said they are good rods and wont quite break a wallet. All I have right now is a cheap rod I use sometimes for bass and bluegill. Quite a bit of fun roll casting in a creek!

Yeah, check out the TFO BVK rods. I'm throwing a 7wt, but knowing you and what you fish for you need an 8 or 9! They have a great warranty and good customer service in case something happens to your rod. Let's go fish!!!!
