Thought I'd give a quick update in case anyone was curious. Of the 6-8 nky ponds I've fished in the last two weeks I've gotten good action for largemouth. From what I can tell they are just beginning to build and circle the nest. Seems like smaller fish though. I've caught good numbers but they were definitely on the light side. This weeks cold front set things back. I haven't seen many of the big girls out yet. When I have they've been laid up close to the bank around structure or under moss.
My go to spring lure, wacky, has been hit or miss. I tied a frog on a few days ago and haven't taken it off. Caught about 15 today in three hours all on the frog and near the bank.

Water temps here range depending on pond depth. Mostly upper 50's to low 60's. Supposed to be warm and sunny all week. Time to fish for sure! Hopefully the fat girls get hungry!
