Well it looks like we will have about 15 soldiers for our first event on May 18th. Been a nightmare trying to get all the clearances that Ft Knox requires but I think it will all be worth it based on the excitement of the soldiers that have signed up. I have spent so much time trying to get this all together that I kind of forgot to line up sponsors. Everybody wants 60 days notice and I don't have it. So here is what I am asking from my fellow fishermen. If you know of somebody or company that would donate door prizes to this event we would greatly like to hear from you. The event starts at the American Legion Post 148 in West Point, goes to Rough River to fish, then return to American Legion for a home-made spaghetti dinner. If you can come up with any donations I am sure it will be highly appreciated by these Wounded Warriors. We are just trying to make this a big stress reliever for them and a few door prizes always make it more enjoyable.
