First bowfishing trip of the year

Went out to the river today and shot a nice 49 inch gar along with several smaller ones. Had a blast so now im ready to go shoot some of the monster asian carp that are in our waters.

That is a nice fish! Gar make great eating. I'll catch them sometimes when I go jugging on the Licking River. I like them better than catfish. I'll bet he was a thrill to bring in!
