Bank Fishing near Georgetown

I'm new to the forums and new to the Georgetown area and I'm looking for some good bank fishing in the area. I've fished the Elkhorn and the county ponds a few times but it seems like you need a canoe or small boat (neither or which I have) to really hit the best spots on the creek. Are there any other good bank fishing spots nearby, say within 15 minutes of Georgetown? I'm taking vacation next week and would really like to find a few spots nearby to fish. I appreciate any input and thank you in advance.

I moved here from Lexington but I'm from Winchester. I'm just getting back into fishing after about a 5 year break.

I live here in georgetown and like u said u need a boat to get to the better places. The ramps have been fished to death. There are some pay lakes around. U would be more than welcome to catch a ride with me sometime. Iam in a bass club called Central Kentucky Bassmasters. But fish other bass tourneys and fun fish almost every weekend.

I always loved fishing but the lack of a boat and friends who weren't as gung-ho about going fishing always kind of kept me from getting too serious about it so I've never really fished a tournament or anything like that even though I would eventually like to. I'd like to learn a lot more about it and eventually fish a tournament. Any suggestions or advice are appreciated.
