Fishing KY lake @ Malcolm/Bear Creek, Tips?

Heading out in a few days to KY lake, will be fishing Malcolm and Bear Creek area. My nine year old son is going to be my main fishing partner and he still views "daddy" as the greatest fisherman in the world. Any advise would be appreciated so I don't fall too far in his eyes

Don't know if you know about all the fishing reports given out on KY lake explore but you might want to look at those. Mostly I think just taking him fishing will keep you in high esteem in his eyes!

i know there was a lot of rain down there, last time i was there when water was high i threw black buzzbaits and caught fish all day long, best spots were in folks backyards.

If you have not yet checked out my latest report here on this site...do so. I launched out of Big Bear Creek all this past week and never got more than 5 miles from there.
