    Crappie fishing Brandenburg area

I am asking for a friend that I haven't convinced to join yet. Good answers may be all he needs.

If you lived in Brandenburg, had a boat and wanted to take your boys (age unknown assume small) crappie fishing where would you go for a day trip?

You can't beat rough river in the spring or fall for a day trip. Nolin in the fall gives up some slabs.

Wolf creek or little blue is where i spend my time now. Really any of the creeks off the river aren't bad but the deeper ones should produce better as the mercury rises. When I lived in Brandenburg I fished buck creek a few days a week. It's pretty good fishin until it gets hot out. Then I'd run down to Indian creek or fish the main river. I mostly bass fish but on occasion I'd crappie fish also. I've caught 4 and 5 lbers out of buck creek in February on back to back cast. I don't think the river gets the credit it deserves.
