How and Where: No KY Ohio River Hybrids?

What are some patterns and lures to use to fish for Hybrids on the Ohio River area between Markland and Meldahl dams? Just wanting to get into some and need some starting points. Fishing from a boat also. Cincinnati area is close but willing to travel to other areas like below dams.

first of all either dam is a good choice. The mouths of creeks, Licking , Little and Great Miami rivers.This time of year I also like to run crank baits Along barges that have been parked for at least a few days, Iuse Bandit lures in white and Fat Free shad in chatruse or natural color. If you want to bait fish chicken liver on the bottom is a good choice also cut shad or skipjacks. When I use live shad I try to find 4-5 " shad and put them on down rods and troll very slowly ( keep line vertical) around creek mouths. Hope this helps, I've caught plenty useing any of thse methods. As always you just have to try things to find what is working best.

I've caught some off the bridges downtown , the best one seems to be the Taylor Southgate with crankbaits, also over near B &B river boats there's a rock bank that's produced in the past , good luck !
