I've had pretty much the same experience. Worms and spinners near the bank. I've caught some small fish but the big ones have eluded me out there. I've tried fishing deeper with cranks and pig-n-jigs but no takers really.

Just trying to get a better feel for bass fishing Corinth Lake. Seems that 95% or more of the bass that I catch there in summer are within a couple feet of the weed beds. I have fished plenty of baits out farther, but rarely get bit away from the weeds. I have most of my success on buzzbaits, frogs, spinnerbaits, and worms or creatures. Any other methods or baits that I need to be trying? Other thoughts for what might work out there? Thanks!

Appreciate the info. Seems like we've had similar luck out there. I've popped a few LM in the 16-20 inch range, but in the same areas that I catch smaller ones. Tried similar things as you, fishing deeper with cranks and soft plastics, but still no difference in the size of fish and certainly less fish.
