    Lake Cumberland vs Barren

Hey guys. Anyone have any reports for bass on Lake Cumberland and Barren with all this high water? Wanted to go somewhere saturday night but haven't night fished either in several years. Saw Barren was 9 feet over summer pool and probably still rising. Appreciate any guidance and recommendations.

I cant help you much with what the bass are doing at night but i can give you the latest conditions from jamestown to harmon. We couldnt even stay on plane for over 30 seconds tonight for all the floating debris, all makes and models, from logs to plastic barrels to drifting no wake buoys. Its kinda dangerous after dark. We were catching bait so like i said not sure about the bass. Good luck and be careful.

Just talked with a fellow today and he was telling me about his trip to Barren the week of the Big Moon. They stayed there a few nights and caught about 200 to 250 LM a night. I have never fished the lake myself but sure sounds like a good lake for LM and stippers.

DOOOOO WHHHHAAAT?????? If he fished an 8 hour night thats 31 fish per hour. Barren is a pretty good lake but I'm not buying that story.

After seeing the post I check back with him and I was wrong..... they caught that amount total. They fished about 3 nights I think. I know he told me he caught 100 +/- one night and 60+/- another night. No major big fish but had a lot of fun. Catch and release. Sorry for the other post try to keep everything straight.

That is landing, unhooking, then cast again every other minute.
