Had this trip planned for several weeks to the Cumberland River at Burkesville for this weekend. Still going even though she's super high right now thanks to the deluge of last week. Have done well before down there in high water, hit the creeks, as long as she's not too muddy.
My question to anyone who has the knowledge: What about big stripers when the water is this high?
Is it worth trying for them? I've seen folks catch a few on cranks over the years and would love to give it a go but not sure about their behavior and whereabouts when the river is so high. Any knowledge or opinions out there?
Not much for dragging a big shad around, though I know that's a major way to get em. Like to throw realistic musky lures like Storm Kickin' minnow at em.
Thanks for any help!

The striper are up towards the dam. You can get up in the boils and throw a spoon or a doll fly and get your arm broke or you can stand on the wall and throw stick baits and catch 10 to 12 fish before your arms get tired from fighting them in the current. Dave
