Green River Lake

A friend & I were going to be in the area & are considering fishing Green River Lake Sunday. Any report on lake conditions? Anybody catching any fish there?

All I can tell you is that it's 9ft over Summer Pool & falling.

Ramp 1 has the gate closed. I talked to a guy from U.S. Army who said they were training there. Not a corp person. Marina has no sign of a ramp right now. Lone Valley has a very small area to turn, but boats were being launched. I have no idea how to post pictures from my IPhone or I would post some. This info is from Friday, July 12, at 7:30 PM. They were pulling it hard. A lot of water coming out at tail water area.

Site 1 will possibly open back up Sunday afternoon (7/14/15) but for sure on Monday. I called the Corp office for the info.

We launched Sunday morning at Holmes Bend . The lake is up and well into the the trees. Lake surf temp was about 79 when we launched and almost 84 in the "coves:" by late afternoon. We got toasted as it was HOT

The water clarity was clear and there was some debris but not too bad.

Not our normal lake so take it FWIW: Fishing was tough. Caught one bass about 3.5 lbs and lost one. threw a lot of different baits but didnt catch any or get any hits until we got to the plastic worm. Beleive if we had started with worm or jig early in the morning before the shade disppeared, we would have more success.
