    Tygarts Creek

Hello all, me and friend of mine plan on taking a trip to Tygarts Creek either Thursday or Friday. I've never fished in this area at all so I was wondering if anyone could give me any pointers regarding creek access, what to expect, etc.

I look forward to getting to know a bunch of guys from around the region that share the same passion as myself. I've done most of my fishing in central Ohio with my father so I'm trying to find spots within an hour or so away from me (Prestonsburg) that I can catch some decent size smallmouth (without a boat ).

Thanks guys for any information you can give me.

I just acquired land on the creek and have been gathering info on it because like you I'm new to the area. From what I've been told there's a good place at the i64 bridge you can get down too. There's supposed to be good smallmouth and Muskie fishing in the creek. I plan on spending a lot of time in the fall floating the river and doing some deer hunting. I'm gonna try figuring this place out because I want try landing one of them muskies
