Bass fishing is fair. With the changing conditions such as the varying water temperature water levels and water clarity the fishing has been tough. The bass are in the transition phase and can be caught on many different techniques. Spinnerbaits and shallow running crankbaits such as a Spro Little John in Spooky Shad are a good choice for the main lake grass flats. Another good pattern is flipping grass mats in the Spring Creek area. Use a Big Bite Baits 4" Fighting Frog in Tilapia color. Rig it on a 1 ounce tungsten lead 4/0 Gamakatsu EWG hook on the bass out of the deep mats. When the cooler weather settles in expect the grass to start dying off on the flats which will ignite the trap and shallow crankbait bite.
