Fishing Friends,
A cool and sometimes wet week turned out to be arguably the BEST WEEK of fishing we've had all Spring! While Mother Nature forced us to reschedule a couple of trips, we were still able to get in eight trips and catch easy limits of fish every outing. Our biggest problem was limiting out too early in the trips on quality White Bass. 🙂 We even changed our target and tactics on our Thursday trip and limited out on Blue Cats (See Pic). Richland Chambers really shows off in the Spring and can spoil you as there are just so many fish, so few fishermen and it's a great time of the year to be on the Lake.
We're still catching the White Bass on 1oz. Slabs and Jigs on Main Lake Points and Humps in water depths ranging anywhere from 20' to 35' feet of water. Each trip we also catch quite a few of the smaller Hybrid Stripers and an occasional Keeper. The Blue Cats were caught on both Cut Shad and Punch Bait fished in the same areas as we're catching the Whites. The Catfish are actually feeding on the large schools of Shad that the Whites are feeding on.
Adam and I have a few late June openings and lots of July dates to fill. At this time, we even have boats open on the July 4th Holiday Weekend (July 2,3 & 5). Give us a call or email and we will get you on the calendar. Have a Great Day!
