Fishing Friends,

This weeks Fishing Report will pretty much sound like a carbon copy of the last few. The weather last week kept us off the Lake until Saturday when the cold, wind and a bit of rain gave way to a beautiful Springlike day with temperatures near 70 degrees. Seems that the weather pattern this early Winter is for a really cold Cold Front to come through about every week to ten days, a little rain with some and then we have a few days of good fishing weather. I'm not complaining as it's been a while since we've had a good cold Winter and hopefully there's LOTS more rain in store for us through the Springtime!!!

The Catfishing continues to be very good on Richland Chambers with good numbers of both Blues and Channels being caught in the timbered areas of the Richland Creek in water ranging from 20 to 30 feet. We're catching all our fish on Danny Kings Punch Bait on treble hooks and fished very near the bottom. We lay the rod on the side of the boat and watch very closely for the slightest indication of a bite.....then set the hook and the fight is on! Most fish are in the 1-3 lb. range, but almost every trip we have to get the net out for a really BIG BLUE!!! The attached picture is from Saturday's trip with a Dallas Couple (Cody and Ashley Roberts) who had a great time and are now ready for the Fish Fry!

It won't be long before the Spring temperatures begin to warm the water (It's 47 degrees now) and we'll be back to fishing for the White Bass and Hybrid Stripers. Right now, they're too hard to locate and too difficult to get to bite if you do find them. We're even offering a WINTER SPECIAL Trip where THREE Fishermen fish for the TWO Person rate. The Special Rate is good thru February.

This week's weather forecast from Tuesday thru Saturday looks AWESOME and we have at least one boat open almost everyday including Saturday. I'll be at the Lake most of the week and my PC is down. Give me a call if you want to get out, enjoy the nice weather and put some fish in the freezer!
