Last week was an AWESOME week both weather wise and fishing wise! Seems that the 90 degree temps of late Summer have finally given way to the morning 60's and afternoon 80's. We even needed light jackets for the early morning boat ride each day. We did have a major Cool Front blow thorough on Sunday night bringing some much appreciated rain, strong North Winds and we had to reschedule Monday's trips. However, we were fortunate to get all the rest of the week's trips in and boy did we catch some fish!



Not sure how many we caught, but between Adam and I we cleaned well over 400 Channel and Blue Catfish for the week. Our toughest day of the week came on Saturday when the Bluebird Skys, No Wind and perfect picnic weather day slowed the bite. Still, we cleaned 117 fish for the 8 Party Group fishing with us that morning! Just like any other specie of fish, the Catfish bite is always better on a Cloudy & Windy day that keeps all the baitfish and fish moving! All our fish continue to come on Danny Kings Punch Bait on a #4 treble hook. We had a few reports of nice Crappie catches using small minnows over brush piles recently, and one or two sporadic reports of White Bass and small Hybrids being caught. The water temperature has finally started to cool down and we're hopeful we have some White Bass action in the next few weeks.
