Taking off and going fishing tomorrow here in Central KY. Any suggestions on where might have the best luck? Herrington, KY river, Cave run, Cedar or Taylorsville. largemouth, smallmouth, Hybrid/whites and yes even Muskie are all fair game.

I went to Herrington last Saturday and had no luck. I went after crappie. Got there a bit before sunrise. I saw no jumps from Pandora to the Dam. Tried fishing the Cane Run area for anything that would bite...no luck. Fished with minnows, jigs, and popeyes tipped with wax worms. Only got small bluegill. Water temp was 82 degrees. Late summer fishing is tough.

I'd go to Nolin or Barren River.
Later,
Geo
Thanks for the replies. We went to the River. Visibility was about 1.5 ft after rain Wed/Thur. Caught 7 bass, 1 renegade bluegill and a channel cat. Mainly soft plastics in the creeks and the cat on a spoon by lock. Probably headed to Herrington Sunday Morning

Thanks for the report. I am also going to Herrington on Sunday. I found lots of shad on my electronics last Saturday, so maybe the bass or whites may be in a feeding mood. I personally will try my best to find some crappie in this late summer warm water. Good luck to you. Stay safe.
I have been to Herrington a couple times the last few weeks. The first time the shad were up and there was some scattered sporadic white/hybrid jumps. Never was in right place at right time & never caught any trying to fish below schools of shad. Ended up bass fishing in the area and caught several. The last time the shad were not up. Almost no jumps. Caught several bass on soft plastics. Overall, Not been a good year for white/hybrids.
