looking to fish A lake in tennessee help needed

I will be having a couple days off coming up and i would love to fish somewhere away from my usual waters .i have been thinking of hitting one of the lakes up ,Cherokee,Norris,dale hollow etc etc.But i must admit i have never been on a body of water that size.But i am dying to fish one.So if you had a day or 2 which would you recommend.


I have basically no electronics as mine died on me so not looking to make no crazy long runs on the lake and also cant find any structure .So i am limited to what i can see or find on a map to fish .So any areas that you can recommend would highly appreciated as i know very little about the lakes.I personally love flipping and pitching ,frogging,and cranking so that is probably the majority of the type of fishing i would do

It's not quite in Tennessee, but if you put in at the Kentucky State Park on Dale Hollow, I've caught a lot of good fish right there in the area of the marina.

When i go to Tenn i always go to Watts Bar lake. Haven't been to Cherokee in several years and never been to Noris. Douglas isn't bad either.

Cherokee, Norris, and Douglas are all GREAT options...I personally prefer Cherokee because it's what I know best, and the smallmouth pop. is on the rise there. But I have to say without electronics all of these lakes could and would be very tricky and dangerous for you. You gotta know how deep you are running on those lakes!!

I like Douglas, WattsBar and Chickamauga. Bass and crappie fishing are good in all 3 lakes.
