Excellent question....in Michelle's subdivision (Lone Oak Golf Course is the course there) folks drive on the streets all the time and there are police officers driving through there all the time. I see kids joy riding in them and adults going to play golf driving down the street. I would like to know if it's legal as well because that could be me some time in the near future. If not legal it's tolerated in Nicholasville subdivisions and I don't remember any lights on the carts.

I'd consult your local PD an ask. They are the folks that write the tickets, and they can tell ya what is okay by them. Go to the local source. Opinions are important to lawyers, cops can tell you what they enforce. :-)
Years ago when I lived in Mt. Sterling, there was a guy that lost his license due to drunk driving who drove a golf cart all over town since a license is not required for a golf cart. Of course I don't know if it was really legal or the cops just looked the other way
