Anyone have an idea of when they will stock the FINS lakes with trout in Oct. I know the site says no more stocking because of the government shut down.

This past Monday I emailed Fish & Wildlife regarding the FINS schedule for Jacobson Lake in Lexington & received this reply,
"The trout stocking has been put on hold until further notice , but check with me next Monday..thanks.

You may want to give him a call. Not sure if the hold applies to all FINS lakes or just Jacobson. I couldn't help but wonder if the hold has to do with current water temperatures or the federal government shutdown. Or perhaps both.
It is all related to Federal Government shutdown. The Wolf Creek Hatchery is closed so KDFWR cannot get any trout!
We had planned to stock trout this week in all of the FINs lakes. However, all of the trout stocked statewide in Kentucky come from Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery below Cumberland Lake which is a federal hatchery. With the Federal Government shutdown, Wolf Creek Hatchery has all but a couple employees furloughed. The remaining employees are keeping fish alive, but they are not shipping out any fish while the government is shutdown. We hope the issue is resolved soon so we can get fish stocked. Until then, we’re in wait and see mode and can’t release a stocking schedule.
I was in a hurry last night the above answer was from

Gov shutdown may be over (for awhile, at least) ... so start keeping an eye out for the stocking schedule webpage to be updated as soon as they get their people back on the job & catch up with the backlog.
... pappy
Still no dates posted on the FINS website but hopefully they do get a chance to stock the fish soon. I know I'm looking forward to it.
