KY River - Central KY

Fished the KY River this afternoon. Surf temp 58F. Visibility only about 1.5 to 2 ft when got there but seemed to clear as they day progressed. Didn't see a boat all day. No luck at lock. Most fish on main river. We ended up catching all our fish on Cranks and buzz bait. 3 smallies, 2 KYs, and about 6 or 7 Large-mouth and my partner caught a big drum. I had a musky on for about 10 secs on my ultra light spinning rod with 6lb test before he cut the line. Ironically, I was bass fishing while my buddy was musky fishing with the proper equipment;) He wasn't too happy.

I fished sunday in the frankfort pool. Started out on rock bars with very little luck, started catching ours out on wood away from the bank a little ways. All were small, did have a nice one hooked for a second the looked like a couple lbs. Most came on spinnerbaits and spooks.

Do you all catch very many musky anymore? We used to get 5-10 a year but in the last couple of years we havent even hooked one!

Not in tyrone pool last couple of yrs but buddy still catches them in mad co area. We picked our bass off 1 at time, never found them schooled. Didn't fish wood much though.

A buddy and I fished ky river at Lockport last Friday. We fished the dam for about 2 hrs with only a sauger to show for it.
Looked great but didn't see any bait and couldn't get any bites.
We pulled out and went to Carrolton catching about a dozen small bass (mixed bag of spots, smallies and large) to salvage the day.
