Winter crappie fishing
I love crappie fishing in the spring and fall. But the winter is a mystery to me with these fish. The latest I've ever fished for crappie was late November. Just curious if I could catch some slabs on tubes under a bobber around stick-ups and lay downs all winter. What are some other techniques. Thanks

During winter months crappie can be found anywhere from 30 to 6 ft. You just have to find out where they are on any given day depending on weathet conditions. Most often they will be holding in trees and brush. The most important thing to know about winter crappie is they suspend very closely so your targrt area can be small. However, when you find them you can really catch them out of that spot. Personaly, I strugle with crappie fishing from the fact I don't have the patients to find them, find the depth they are holding and the presentation they want. Lastly, I think bate or lures should be presented as natural as possible.
