The jokes will write themselves if Petrino is hired by Louisville.
They would seriously have just re-hired the coach who screwed them over several years ago.
Plus, they will have 2 of the most morally bankrupt coaches out there.

While I agree with alot of what you say I have to ask you this, do you believe in second chances and letting someone get their life in order? You say you are a Christian but you always slam Pitino because you are butt hurt he left your beloved Wildcats years ago. I am not a big Pitino fan and never have been I've been clear about that through out the years on this site. However it does at least seem that he is now living the way he is suppose to. Do you have reason to think he's not and if so what do you base it on.
We all make mistakes, sometimes big ones it's how we atone for those mistakes that make the individual in my opinion.
On another note and yet pertaining to this, I can't stand Petrino as a person but that dude can coach his butt off. Is it possible that maybe he to has changed? In my mind I say no but I tend to be a bit of a doubting Thomas at times, maybe I guess it could be true.
One thing for sure Michael the jokes may and will write themselves but if they do hire Petrino the big win over the Cards by your Cats probably just became a major pipe dream......:)
I do believe in second chances, but the head coach position is supposed to be a role model and leader of young people. Would you want your child being led by either of those two?
Pitino may have turned his life around but I still believe he is a extremely dishonest person who lies almost every time he speaks.
Petrino is an excellent coach, but how foolish will Louisville look hiring back a coach that screwed them over?
I guess winning trumps all.

Well he isn't hired yet let's keep that in mind as this media fire has gone a bit mad. I think Petrino is a pathological liar and right now I'm not to sure what you say about Pitino is true.
I think you all know where I stand.
Hell, I wanted Petrino at UK when the search for Joker's replacement was on. LOL
Role model, moral upstanding citizen, kisses babies on the forehead, volunteers at soup kitchens, never drank a beer, never got a speeding ticket, and never looked at another woman but his wife for the last 42 years....well, that's all great....are you hiring a Pope or a football coach?
Bobby Petrino can flat out coach, boys.
I do think that people can change...but it's not as likely as a lot think. That means that he's probably still a swindler...but that also means that he's probably still a heck of a football coach.
At this stage, is he looking for the place he'll stay for the rest of his career?
I'd hire him to coach my team. I wouldn't let him near my wife or my checkbook (LOL), but I'd hire him.
If I was a parent of a kid who's goal was to be a pro football player, I'm not sure I'd have a problem with him playing for Bobby at Louisville. Part of life is understanding that you're going to answer to people sometimes that aren't as straight as you are. That doesn't have to change who you are as a person.
Nice perspective Q.............alot of truth there and a different way of looking at it to.
I bet a ton, a ton of coaches have a little something on the side. How about many doctors have a little something with a nurse or a judge with his clerk. I have seen it all too may times. When ever there is men and women together it is going to happen.
For those who think pay pal cal is the standard of morals and proper behavior you may not want to throw too many rocks.

Totally agree.....No one will ever accuse me of thinking or worshipping a coach, school or player. I don't see sports the same way as some others...I love sports as much or more than the next guy but when you put money with sports stars and stud coaches your gonna have the less than desirable sides of a person come out. Politicians have always been known for it and the sports arena is a just another vehicle that brings that mix of money, men, women and power.
